A beautiful version of a classic song.
A beautiful version of a classic song.
From veteran Canadian band The Trews. I really like the percussion in this one.
Yesterday we highlighted the Boss. Today, little Steven. This one sounds like a long lost song he wrote for Southside Johnny
First new music from Bruce in years. Album due in June.
Something new from a great Irish band.
This one’s from an album started in 1988 and finished in 2018. In between, the founding members of Adam’s House Cat broke up the band and formed Drive by Truckers (great band).
This song sounds to me like a mix between REM and The Replacements if they both came from Alabama.
Cracker reach their commercial peak in the 90s with songs like “Happy Birthday to Me”, “Teen Angst” and “This is Cracker Soul”. I’ve always enjoyed their mix of irreverent 90s style rock and more serious sounding country tinged music. Here’s a live version of an obscure song from one of their earlier albums That I’ve always loved.
One of my favorite bands covering one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite artists on one of my favorite shows. Seems like a good way to start a Sunday morning
I’m a day late to play something to honor the 25th anniversary of Kurt Cobain’s death. Trying to choose a Nirvana song could take all day. Here’s one of my favorites.
My blogging buddy Mike chose Dylan for today’s TBT choice. How about another classic, from 1974’s Diamond Dogs. One of those songs with the instantly recognizable guitar riff!
