The Old 97s have been around forever but have managed to fly under the radar for over 20 years. Their mix of country, punk and rock is hard to categorize but hard not to love.

“All your Favorite Bands” has, without me even noticing, become one of my favorite albums. Taylor Goldsmith has a way with lyrics and I truly believe he’s on the way to being one of the best songwriters of his generation. When you take that with subtle, beautiful guitar you get this great song.
Japandroids are one of my favorite bands of the last few years. Hard driving rock from this 2 man outfit from Canada. This song is a permanent fixture on my running mix.
