Olafur Arnalds is an Icelandic composer and multi-instrumentalist. I love how this song starts very contemplative, but then progresses to a more upbeat tone, as if to say its fine to ponder and consider, but at some point you need to get out and do.

Lucy Dacus is from Richmond VA and start getting attention a few years ago with this song about trying to shed people’s conceptions of who you should be. Short, simple, but catchy as hell
I’ve always had a rather odd relationship with Dave Matthews music. It seems whenever I like a song or an album, I find out that the critics or long time fans seem to hate that very song or album. So I’ll try again. Here’s one I really like from the new album.
One of my favorite songs from this eclectic singer-songwriter.
I just recently finished re-watching Breaking Bad, one of the all time greatest series in TV history (in my humble opinion). This is the song that accompanies the last scene. Great use of music, and a great great song!
Punk before there was punk.
This four man band from Michigan has only been in existence since 2017 but they sound like they’ve been doing this a lot longer. Classic rock and R&B influences jump out at you. Lead singer is almost channeling Robert Plant in this great song.
Well the day has arrived. Really looking forward to seeing John Hiatt tonight!
The Hold Steady have been compared to the E Street Band. I’m not sure I see it but Craig Finn does have a way with words. Favorite line of this song— “ She said the theme of this party is the Industrial Age, and you came in dressed like a train wreck.”
