I’m a longtime fan of John Mellencamp and also dig that tune. It’s the perfect start of my day, since I’m set to get a lot of R.O.C.K. today – in fact a whooping 10 hours at a great annual music tribute festival at the Jersey shore called “Rock The Farm,” which at the same time is a fundraiser to drug addiction recovery programs for opioids and other substances. Great music for a great cause!
I like how he gives the shout outs in the song–Frankie Lyman, Martha Reeves “and don’t forget James Brown”. How could we? Just good solid old time Rock with a strong rhythm section. Love it.

Good number, and less annoying than “Born In The USA”.
