Classic track from the highly influential but under-appreciated (at the time) band. I first became aware of them from the Replacements song Alex Chilton.

One of the most perfect sounding bands ever in powerpop… They should have been huge.

Yes if I was in charge they would have ruled the charts!

There is a great documentary out on them and it explains what happened. It’s very good. It’s called Big Star Nothing Can Hurt Me
You probably already know about it but I thought I would throw that in…
Big Star, Badfinger, and The Raspberries were great powerpop groups around the same time.

Big Star rule, although I always gravitate to the second album.

The Replacements are who turned me on to Big Star too- after hearing Alex Chilton I went out and bought the Big Star albums. I wasn’t disappointed. I never travel far without a little Big Star.
