  1. Great song Paul. He didn’t play this when I saw him. I’ve only caught him twice…one with the E Street Band in 2000 and in the 90s on his The Ghost of Tom Joad acoustic tour in 97 I believe. I would like to see him again.
The song I would like to see live would be rare also….Does This Bus Stop at 82nd Street?

    1. Yeah that would be rare as well! The last couple tours late in tour he would start playing older stuff at random. Sometimes by request so you never know !😃

      1. I’ve checked some youtube videos and I don’t think there are many that he doesn’t cover…at least a few times…catching him on that night would not be easy.

      2. Yeah I looked up a database of songs played live by him (bc/ of course there would one of those in existence right 😃) and he’s actually played it a number of times in last 10 years including a number of times in DC or Philly which is where I usually see him but I don’t remember it. Interestingly it looks like he played when I saw him on the Joad tour in Austin but I have no memory of it -aaahhhh.

  2. Thought I would comment over here instead of Hans.

I’ve never heard this song, before. I was struck at how it reminded me of Dylan in a way.

The only Springsteen album (cassette, actually) that I ever bought was BUSA. Dancing in the Dark came out in my senior year of high school and the rest of the album continued to produce hits all the way into my sophomore year of college. Prior to that, all I knew about Springsteen was BTR, Hungry Heart and Trapped, which I loved. It was a while before I heard Tenth Avenue Freeze Out. I’ve also enjoyed Tunnel of Love and Human Touch. To this day, I still hum 57 Channels And Nothin’ On when channel surfing garbage. LOL!

    Thanks for the intro!

    1. Your welcome. If Incident reminds you of Dylan you should check out his first album Greetings from Asbury Park. Those songs got Springsteen tagged as the new Dylan because of their verbosity which almost was the kiss of death at the time. Of course he showed he had the talent to rise above that

      1. Unfortunately, I’m not that big of a Dylan fan. There are some things of his that I like but, in general terms…I don’t own a single song of his. I recognize that both men are pioneers and I see/hear similarities.
