An incredible song, giving voice to feelings as real as can be told. Sunday morning, Stanley Park in Vancouver, Canada. 1968/9. 6:00 AM. Beauty, but no one to share it with. Alone as death. Amazing.
While I’m not much into traditional country music, I can’t deny this tune has great storytelling. There is also just something about Kristofferson’s voice that draws me in, even though I don’t think he’s not a great vocalist. I guess it’s the right voice for the right song!
