Song of the Day 11/4/18 Dire Straits “WilD West End”
Great semi-obscure song from Dire Straits first album in 1978. Good for a quiet Sunday morning.
Song of the Day 11/3/18 Bruce Springsteen “Lost in the Flood “
One of my favorite Springsteen songs of all time. Not one of his big hits and not something he plays live often. But this was basically the soundtrack to junior year in college. I played this song after every single organic chemistry test because it accurately reflected how I felt at that moment. We also got pummeled by rain last night as hard as I can ever remember.
It also has an absolutely scorching guitar solo by Bruce. Many forget how great a guitarist he actually is.
Song of the Day 11/2/18 Pete Yorn “I’m Not the One”
so here’s a guy you may have heard of. He’s been around for close to 20 years producing great music but never quite breaking thru. Definitely worth just sitting back and giving his stuff a listen.

Song of the Day 10/27/18 Lucero “What are You Willing to Lose?”
If it weren’t for Frank Turner’s “Be More Kind”, I think this year for me, musically would be the year of Lucero. I’ve been diving deep into their catalog and I love everything I’ve heard. This song in particular from their album, 1372 Overton Park is fantastic.I’ve played it no less than 10 times in the last 24 hours. I’m getting looks from other drivers because of the way I’m waving my arms around when this song is playing.
I love the horns and it’s got a hook big enough to boat a marlin with.

Song of the Day (TBT) 10/25/18 The Knack “My Sharona”
A song that mostly sounds like 3 chords and average lyrics somehow burrows it’s way into your consciousness. Then when you think you’ve got it understood, it hits you with a truly great guitar solo. I’ve loved this song for almost 40 years
